Which president of the United States of America donated his presidential salary to charity?
It's a well known fact that John F. Kennedy was born into a wealthy family. At the time he was elected, JFK was the wealthiest man to take office.
Though plenty of financially well off presidents have served in the White House before and after him, John F. Kennedy is the only one to have donated his presidential salary to charity.
For that matter, he also donated his salary while serving in the House and Congress.

Serving in the House IS serving in Congress. Congress comprises both the House of Representatives AND the Senate. SMH

Linda Wanta, Probably needed the tax deduction. He didn’t donate the money he charged the Secret Service for staying at his golf clubs and other properties. Nobody could possibly paint this man with a charitable brush.

The house and congress are commonly used interchangeably. House and Senate would have probably been what you meant.
