The song saw commercial and critical success in the United Kingdom where it peaked at number nine on the UK Singles Chart and was later nominated for "Best Track" at the 2017 GRM Daily Rated Awards. "KMT" was additionally certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry in the United Kingdom.

Nathaniel Thompson (born 11 May 1984), better known professionally as Giggs, is a British rapper and songwriter from Peckham, London. Raised by Jamaican parents, Giggs was a DJ in Peckham, predominately playing reggae, ragga and bashment. He also had his own radio station called "Spare No One FM". He then decided to pursue a music career.
