The first of two characters to be named after George Lucas’s son, Jett, Dexter Jettster was an old friend of Obi-Wan who pointed him in the direction of Kamino during "Attack of the Clones".
Dexter’s information became valuable during Obi-Wan’s investigation into who wanted Padmé Amidala dead. Kenobi discovered the existence of the secret clone army they had been building in the name of the late Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas.
The adopted son of George Lucas is Jett Lucas (born February 7, 1993). He has cameos as a young Jedi Padawan named Zett Jukassa in both "Attack of the Clones" and "Vengeance of the Sith". According to his sister Katie, Jett influenced the name of the Gungan species as a young child. In the video game "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed", Jett is credited as an intern. The character Ion Papanoida was based on him in the "Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series".
The name Zett Jukassa is a tuckerization of his name, and the name Jett was inspired by Dexter Jettster's last name.
