Which Swiss city airport has the longest runway in Switzerland?

Geneva Airport, formerly and still unofficially known as Cointrin Airport, is the international airport of Geneva, the second most populous city in Switzerland. It is located 4 km (2.5 mi) northwest of the city centre. It surpassed the 15 million passengers mark for the first time in December 2014. The airport serves as a hub for Swiss International Air Lines and easyJet Switzerland. It features a route network of flights mainly to European metropolitan and leisure destinations as well as some long-haul routes to North America, China and the Middle East, amongst them Swiss International Air Lines' only long-haul service (to New York City) outside of Zürich.

The airport has a single concrete runway (04/22), which is the longest in Switzerland with a length of 3,900 m (12,795 ft) and one of the longest in Europe, making it open to use by aircraft of all existing sizes. Adjacent to the commercial runway is a smaller, parallel, grass runway for light aircraft.

Carolyn Brior, I read on Wiki that Bern airport has a paved runway of 1730 metres and grass runway of 650 metres, even added together that doesn't make 3,900 metres.

Oops - sorry. Correction on my statement. Wikipedia says Basel runway is 3,900 m, not Bern. That airport services Switzerland and France but is physically in France making the answer "Geneva" correct. That runway in France, EuroAirport, is also 39,00 m long.

Another reference is needed. Wikipedia lists both Geneva and Bern as 3,900 m (12,795 ft) runways. But the write up for Geneva says "longest in Switzerland" even though the Bern airport entry has the exact same measurement. One of the two entries has to be wrong.

I was in Geneva the day Swissair (as then was before collapsing) announced they were stopping all scheduled international flights from Geneva and such flights would only be made from Zürich. The comments from those living in Geneva were far from complimentary!!

Hi. The question was "longest" runway in Switzerland. Geneva is 3900m. Zurich Airport has three runways: 16/34 of 3,700 m (12,100 ft) in length, 14/32 of 3,300 m (10,800 ft) in length, and 10/28 of 2,500 m (8,200 ft) in length. Thanks to Wikipaedia
