The Hollywood, California tough guy who starred in and directed the 1992 American Western film "Unforgiven" was Clint Eastwood. Eastwood plays the role of William "Will" Munny, a reformed bandit who becomes a pig farmer.

In the film as a retired gunslinger, Munny is called upon and reluctantly takes one last job to 'fulfill justice'. He even more reluctantly accepts a boastful young man as a partner. Together, they learn how easily complicated truths are distorted into simplistic myths about the Old West.

It becomes clear that "Unforgiven" totally focuses upon what death (and killing and revenge) really mean. It's about exposing myths and defining true legends. It's about law and doing good. It's about whether it's ever possible to escape one's past failures. It's about how a chain of events (and bad choices) can cause a person to go from good to evil. But it appears, "Unforgiven" is ultimately about personal character and strength.
