The person who did the narration of the TV comedy "The Wonder Years" was Daniel Stern. He was born in August 1957, in Bethesda, Maryland. He began acting at the age of 17, following his high school graduation. Now in 2017, he is appearing in the American romantic TV comedy web series titled "Love" created by Judd Apatow.

When he started his career, he interviewed for a job as a lighting engineer for the Washington Shakespeare Festival in beautiful Mount Vernon, Washington. He however ended up appearing as a "strolling player," carrying a lute, in the production of "As You Like It."

Stern not only did the voice-over work on "The Wonder Years," he also directed several TV episodes when the show ran on ABC from 1988 until 1993.
