Who gave his name to the invention of whirlpool bath?

Candido Enzo Jacuzzi (24 February 1903 – 7 October 1986) was an Italian immigrant to the United States of America. Candido Jacuzzi invented the Jacuzzi whirlpool bath for his 15-month-old son, Kenny Jacuzzi, who was born with rheumatoid arthritis.

He developed a pump that enabled a whirlpool to be created in a bath as a hydrotherapeutic device for pain relief. Candido invented the first self-contained Jacuzzi tub and filed the first patent for it.

macroburg, clearly ironic, which is why I give you a thumbs-up. It's like the immigration problem here in UK - they come and look after our sick and our elderly, pay into our taxation and pension funds, then some of them leave without even taking their pensions! The cheek of it.

dsneed, As a boy, my German dad hunted rabbits during the early 20s around El Cerrito and often recounted friendships with Italians in the neighborhood. (Maybe including the Jacuzzi's?)

Incidently Jacuzzi's business is in El Cerrito, California. At least started there, may have expanded to handle larger business. It is not bs as stated somewhere below. Dianne
