Who is the current MLB manager and author of "A Book of Walks" which was published in 2015?
The answer is the San Francisco Giants' manager Bruce Bochy. Born in France, where his military father was stationed at the time, he also lived in the Panama Canal Zone, South Carolina, northern Virginia and Melbourne, Florida. During his career he played as a catcher with the Astros, Mets and the Padres.
He became the Giants manager in 2006 and currently has a contract through 2019.
His book describes his favorite walks around San Francisco and other major league cities.
