Giacobbe "Jake" LaMotta was born on July 10, 1921, in New York City. Nicknamed the "Bronx Bull," LaMotta was a leading boxer in 1940s and early 1950s whose life story served as the basis for the Academy Award-winning film 'Raging Bull' (1980) starring Robert DeNiro.

In 2013, at the age of 92, 'Jake' LaMotta married for a seventh time, to actress Denise Baker.
