Who is this woman, and what happened to her?
Ann E. Hodges
On November 30, 1954, Ann, who was sleeping on her couch when a meteorite crashed through the roof of her home in Sylacauga, AL, hit a console radio, and smashed into her hip.
Hodges was the first person ever to have been injured by a meteorite, and the event caused a nationwide media sensation.
The meteorite, which weighs about eight and one-half pounds, is on permanent display at the Alabama Museum of Natural History at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

pykim, I tried it and did get this picture, associated with this actual question. There are no other results for Gayle Hornsburth. However, if you google Ann Hodges you get multiple articles from a variety of sources showing this picture as well as other pictures of Ann, the home the meteorite struck, and even the meteorite itself. The picture shown here with the question is enough to show the huge bruise on her left hip caused by the meteorite. So no, it couldn't be anything.

My mistake, but the picture can be anything only showing the top half. Google Gayle Hornsburth and you get the same picture.

Just went with the most off the wall answer. Don't need a spleen to live, so rules out the transplant, didn't buy the rodeo clown at all. Bus was a possibility, but not banged up enough for that to have kissed a bus. Knew that someone had been hit by a metorite
