Who played Igor in the movie 'Young Frankenstein'?
Marty Feldman played Dr. Frankenstein's loyal, wise cracking, somewhat inept assistant. When told to go the morgue and steal a brain to be implanted in the monster, he selects one in a jar labeled ab normal. Martin Alan Feldman was a British actor, comedian and comedy writer. He was known for his prominent, misaligned eyes. He appeared in most movies as part of the supporting cast.
He suffered from thyroid disease and developed Graves' ophthalmopathy, causing his eyes to protrude and become misaligned. Bruce Baum drew inspiration from that to record 'Marty Feldman Eyes', a parody of 'Bette Davis Eyes', a hit song by Kim Carnes released in 1981.
Rather than hide from his appearance, he embraced it and made a successful career from it.
