The actor who played the character "Face" on the NBC 1983 - 1987 U.S. TV series "The A-Team" was Dirk Benedict. In the series as Lieutenant Templeton Peck (Dirk Benedict) was usually called "Face" or "Faceman". He was a clever, fun loving, and smooth-talking con man. He is the guy who serves as the A-Team's appropriator of vehicles (cars, planes, etc.) and other useful items. He is the team's artful second in command after their leader Lieutenant Colonel/Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith (George Peppard), whose action plans tend to be unorthodox but effective.
During this TV series, 'The A-Team' is a group of Vietnam vets who are wrongly convicted of a crime they didn't commit. They escape from prison and become soldiers of fortune to help people in need.
