Who played the first Marilyn on the television show The Munsters?

Beverley Owen portrayed Marilyn Munster on the first season of The Munsters. She disliked the role and accepted it because of contract obligations with Universal Studios, who produced the sitcom for CBS. Owen left her role on The Munsters to marry Jon Stone, a writer and producer living in New York. After 13 episodes she was replaced in the role by Pat Priest, the second Marilyn. Owen and Stone were married for ten years and had two daughters, Polly and Kate. In 1971 she joined the cast of Another World for two years. She then retired from television and worked exclusively in live theater. She currently resides in Upstate New York and in 1989 received her Masters Degree in Early American History.
