Who plays the bass in the British rock band Queen?

Queen are a British rock band formed in London in 1970. Their classic line-up was Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals) and John Deacon (bass). Their earliest works were influenced by progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metal, but the band gradually ventured into more conventional and radio-friendly works by incorporating further styles, such as arena rock and pop rock.

Some of their most well known and loved songs include Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You and Another One Bites The Dust.

John Deacon retired from the music industry in 1997 and does not played base guitar for Queen.

John Deacon retired in 1997 having been greatly affected by the loss of Freddie Mercury. Since then bass guitar has mainly been played by Neil Fairclough who is described as the 'touring bass player'. This should have been the answer for the question!
