John W. Hinckley shot Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of United States of America along with his press secretary and 2 guards in March 1981. Although seriously injured Ronald Reagan survived.

Hinckley was initially arrested but later categorized as not being mentally fit and was sent to mental health facility. He shot the President in order to gain attention of a Hollywood actress whom he was obsessed to after seeing her movie in 1970s where she acted as a child prostitute.

He was later released from the facility for not being a threat to the society or himself anymore. At the age of 61 he is now a free man.
