Who was crowned Queen of England on the 15th of January, 1559?
Elizabeth I reigned for 45 years. She was childless and became famous as The Virgin Queen. She was the 5th and, actually, the last monarch of the Tudor dynasty.
Despite the fact that Elizabeth was declared illegitimate, she managed to ascend to the throne after deaths of her siblings. Her coronation took place on the 15th of January, 1559.

I disagree, Larry. A little background knowledge of the Elizabethan age is all that is required. She reigned in the latter half of the 16th century and into the 17th. Knowing her reign was almost a half century, second only to Queen Elizabeth II, exact dates are unnecessary to make an educated guess.

I guessed correctly as I remembered learning about her when I was in junior high. Seeing that she died in 1603, I recall thinking that she died nearly 400 years ago one day. Plus, there was the movie me and several students watched in the history class involving her famous and pompous father, Henry the 8th.

Actually Larry, she is quite famous - Virgina was named after her and every city named Elizabeth, Plus, an entire period was named after her - the Elizabethian period, which roughly coinsides with her reign.

Elizabeth the first was the daughter of King Henry the 8th and his second wife Anne Bolen whom he had beheaded for high treason along with several other people who he accused of high treason. He requested a special executionist from Spain who was better at his job of beheading.
