From 2001 to 2009, Hillary Clinton served as a United States Senator from New York. She is the wife of the 42nd President of the United States Bill Clinton, and was First Lady of the United States during his tenure from 1993 to 2001.

In November 2006, Hillary easily won re-election to the U.S. Senate. Later, she became the 67th U.S. Secretary of State in 2009, serving until 2013.
