John Jay was one of the key Founding Fathers of the US. He was born on the 23rd of December, 1745 in New York City and became a respectful lawyer, who called for property rights protection.

Jay made a large contribution to the establishment of the US government and ratification of the Constitution, as he was one of the authors of five of The Federalist Papers. When the government under the Constitution began in 1789, Jay became the first Chief Justice of the United States and served until 1795.
