Justice Benjamin Cardozo was a respected Supreme Court justice long before SS was born, but his family spoke Portuguese rather than Spanish so now he doesn't count? This requires a redefinition of "Hispanic," which originally referred to people with ancestry from Hispania, which included what we now call Portugal. Would you refer to SS as Spanish just because she or her ancestors spoke Spanish?

Have been keeping track of the SCOTUS decisions since the balance of the court has changed. Seems to me that ALL members are being guided by the dictates of the Constitution. Whether you agree or not. Bet our President isn’t thrilled with the most recent decisions.

Totally unqualified except for racial background. She never served as a Judge and there were many Hispanic Judges in South Texas where I lived for 20 years. Ohomo chose her because she was a Liberal Hispanic Woman,not because of qualifications.
