The policeman who was constantly chasing Top Cat (T.C.) and his gang on the U.S. Hanna-Barbera 1960s TV series "Top Cat" was Officer Dibble. On the show, the usual plotline involved a policeman, Officer Dibble, trying to evict Top Cat and his gang from their alley and home. It was however the cagey cat who conspires with his friends to make life very difficult for the beat cop (Dibble).

Top Cat is the undisputed leader of a gang of six alley cats in New York City. He is constantly coming up with new ideas and schemes to benefit his friends, better himself, and help other felines. The members the gang include: Benny the Ball, The Brain, Fancy-Fancy, Choo Choo, and Spook. They all have unique personalities.

Top Cat’s adversary, Officer Dibble, is a cop who always kept an eye on T.C. but still finds himself losing their battle of wits. As much as Dibble and Top Cat are big nemeses, most episodes still show that there is mutual respect and even a shared fondness between them.
