Who was the shortest of the Beatles?

Richard Starkey (born 7 July 1940) known professionally as Ringo Starr, is an English musician, singer, songwriter and actor who gained worldwide fame as the drummer for the Beatles. Ringo is 5 foot 6 inches tall and clearly the shortest of all the Beatles.

George Harrison (25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001) was an English guitarist, singer, songwriter, and music and film producer who achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. Often referred to as "the quiet Beatle". George was 5 foot and 10 inches tall.

John Winston Ono Lennon, (born John Winston Lennon; 9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) was an English singer and songwriter who co-founded the Beatles, the most commercially successful band in the history of popular music. John was 5 foot and 11 inches tall.

Sir James Paul McCartney, MBE (born 18 June 1942) is an English singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. With John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, he gained worldwide fame with the rock band the Beatles, largely considered the most popular and influential group in the history of pop music. Paul is 5 foot and 11 inches tall.

There are variations of the height of the Beatles but one thing is clear that Ringo is certainly the shortest.

He would have been a giant in AC/DC! Angus 5’2”, Malcolm 5’3”, Bon 5’8”, Brian Johnson 5’5”, Phil Rudd 5’6”, Cliff Williams 5’7”. Now that’s how you can your in a van. In my last full band only one of the 4 members was under 6’1. Luckily almost no one heard us and we didn’t have to travel or share hotel rooms. Dodged a bullet there!

To be a bit pedantic, if you are going to put MBE after Sir Paul McArtney's name, you should also put it after all of the Beatles' names. They were all awarded the same honour, receiving their awards on the 26th October 1965 from HM Queen Elizabeth herself.
