Scientists have identified 7 repeating cycles of low to increasingly higher temperatures in the last 650,000 years. Those cycles were virtually identical. However, the current cycle's highs and measurable greenhouse gases are off the chart, amounting to 3 or more times higher than any of the past 7 cycles. We know the cause: the burning of fossil fuels in the last 150 years. If you think the current weather is consistent with the past, you have another think coming. Haven't you noticed the increasing severity of storms, drought, flooding, heat waves, tornadoes, etc? This was all predicted by at least 97% of the world's scientists. The other 3% generally have ulterior motives for denying the facts, usually; payment from the fossil fuel industry. Get your head out of the sand. Even if you assert that the air is not much hotter, it is the oceans which are warming considerably and the oceans account for 70% of the earth's surface. That in turn adds humidity, which forms more clouds, which bring more severe storms. Ocean warming can be demonstrated by the bleaching of coral reefs worldwide. Coral are extremely sensitive to temperature. A permanent change of only a few degrees can kill them. It is happening. That's what bleaching means. The facts are out there if you look for them and they are undeniable. The truth may be inconvenient, but it doesn't make any less true. BTW, I don't know where you get your information from, but you are woefully misinformed. Your last sentence is laughable, proving you know nothing about how life arises or mountains and rivers form. In your ignorance and denial, you condemn the futures of your children and grandchildren. Shame on you.

Thank you President Donald J. Trump for refusing to let America become the world's ATM on this issue! The world's governments aren't going to be able to hold a candle to the impact that private businesses like Tesla will have on the issue. Throwing money at a problem doesn't solve it, it makes it an expensive problem. However, the ability to make money from solving problems is why we have internet, automobiles, and any other worthwhile invention you can think of. Money has driven innovation faster than the desire to stay alive. Governments don't have as much incentive to solve problems as businesses and the people behind them.

Having been to the Orient many times I can truthfully say that until the world stops China and India from using the type of fuel they do for heating and cooking Nothing Will Change.
