I wonder if the relationship is that a cup holds things that a bowl can hold. A vacuum cleaner picks up things off the floor just as a broom does.

the comparison is larger to smaller - yard to inch - so quart to ounce is smaller. Gallon would be bigger

12/13 Not sure on Q10. Ounce? that is weight not volume unless they meant Fluid ounce, if they did, why didn't they say so, There is a difference.
