Alina Ctin, I took a shortcut. I think the way to do it in full form is to multiply 7 x -8 first. -56 Then, divide (wasn't it 64?) by 8. 8 Divide -56 by 8 -7 -7 squared is 49. The shortcut I saw was that the first number had to be multiplied by -8, and the next equation 64 divided by 8 is 8. So, multiplying and dividing the 7 by 8 does not even have to be done. They cancel. 7 squared is 49. I was excited to see that cancellation. Thank you, Christine, James' wife

Questions - good. Some challenging without using a calculator. But another flawed quiz because no answers were provided. A shame.

William Laughlin, it's meant to be 7 multiplied by -8. The poor formatting of the questions makes it appear otherwise. The correct answer of 49 is among the options.

And yet another faulty quiz without answers, yielding snarky and off-putting results. From grade school through college, I never received any grade less than an A. Don't tell me math is not my thing. BTW, without knowing the value of X, the last equation is impossible to solve.

Eli Hassan, I did the test twice, second time with the calculator. Same result! Something is wrong!
