Eve , Your theory would work if we knew that the picture actually weighs 20 lbs., but we don't. It weighs 10 lbs. according to the question. so half of 10 is 5, not 10.

joni s mead, Where does it say that the total weight is 10? It doesn't. You are solving to find the total weight. 20. Half of 20 (its own weight) is 10. Add another 10 to get 20.

Finally figured out the weight question after I got it wrong, lol. The picture weighs 10 lbs plus 1/2 of its weight. if the total weight is 20 lbs it is 10 lbs plus 1/2 of 20 lbs (the total weight of the picture). 10 lb + (1/2 of 20) = 20 lbs. Next time I'll get marked correct, lol

To the dimwit who set these questions. 10 plus half of its own weight (5) equals 15. Why are incorrect answers like this included - just to frustrate us quizz-lovers? Pathetic !!!
