flanderschristy, was is a past form of the verb to be. Verbs show action most of the time but there are also verbs of being like is, was, were.

I endorse the Oxford comma, so would need an additional comma in the first question. As far as I know - at least when I was in school - there is no punctuation mark called a "full stop". How about a "period"?

Tom Knox, they do! They are simply called the same thing as the ones that American kids take for college entrance. SAT stands for standardised assessment tests and they are taken in Year 2 and Year 6 of primary school.

Reduce the size of the font on the device you use to take this test. There is only so much space allotted and larger fonts require more space, so it must overlap other things.
