buhlemann, it is more like constant stirring is the best way to prevent sticking. I have never used oil in the water, but I have learned that if you keep the water in motion, therefore keeping the pasta in motion, keeps the pasta from sticking

My wife and I got so sick after eating them at a Korean restaurant that we never ate thre again. Of course, one bad batch does not make a bad restaurant, but once bitten, twice shy. We still eat at other Korean restaurants.
