vudu, BraziI IS in South America, not Central America. It borders Ecuador, and is the largest country in South America.

Brazil is also correct for Question 2. It is in Central America - not South America. Thank you.

Misread "Continental" for US time zones, so included Hawaii!

Ian: You never know with these quizzes. Sometimes the correct answer to the river question is 'Amazon' and other times it is 'Nile'. I guess it depends on the quiz creator's opinion which one is longest despite the published facts

18/20 I'm afraid Lucie Tessler you are wrong about the longest river. The Nile wins the race by 10 miles so it is a very close run thing - see the Oxford English Dictionary. However, I would agree that there is a lot of debate as to which is the longest. It was 2 of the US questions that I got wrong.

After being measured from space, the Amazon was found to be more than 100 miles longer than the Nile.
