JoeBruz, I thought that also which is why I went to Google and asked about it. The result was that recent research, I expect was from sattlelite imagery, it was determined the Amazon was longer. I suspect the extra length was fou.nd in the meander bends. The problem with quizzclub is they have old quizzes that get recycled that still say the Nile is longer as well as newer ones that say the Amazon is longer. The test takers have to determine whether it is an old or new quizz

The Nile is the longest but the Amazon is the largest in volume of water.

I dont know what is the problem , but soon you will have to decide which river is the longest and stick to it

For a clear length is time to measure Nile and Amazon again for good.

A canyon may be a valley but it is a very specific kind. It is very a valley that is very narrow with steep slopes on both sides. I live in a valley that is very wide and has gentle slopes on each side. It's called the red river valley.

Karin Johansson, I used to think so too Karin, but a biased Brazilian group of scientists have tried to insinuate that they're discovery of the Nile is shorter in length than the Amazon is just that, biased, but it's not official and the Brazilians have probably pushed those numbers in their favor but The Nile is still the longest river by most credible studies by some 130 miles or 150 km. However, Quizzclub does need to address this on-going dilemma.

One quiz will tell you the Amazon is the longest River but another tells you it’s the Nile??
