Since sattalite mapping it has been found the Amazon is longer. I was always told it was the Nile. Perhaps it would be better to compare the Amazon to another river.

10/10. Although I don't agree with the old longest River Answer. I was always taught it was the Nile, when we visited Egypt they said so, and if you Google it, it says The Amazon is 6,400 km, The Nile is 6,650 km. So as us Brits say " Stick that in your Pipe and Smoke it".
