The islands of the Caribbean are considered part of the North American land mass. They sit on the same tectonic plates as the mainland. Even Greenland is considered part of the North American continent.
Technically, Columbus DID set foot on North America.

Technically Columbus never set foot on 'North America'; he made it to several of the Islands in the Caribbean. Leif Eriksson could possibly be the first 'European' to land in NA - in what is now technically Canada.

Columbus didn't actually have anything to do with America...especially "discovering" where our Native Americans already lived. This 1492 nonsense needs to stop.
