Alan Conyard, It is not a myth. In ancient Roman architecture, vomitoria were designed to provide rapid egress for large crowds at amphitheatres and stadia, as they do in modern sports stadia and large theatres. The word does not mean a place to vomit food. It is an egress.

David Colloby, The last time France used the guillotine was on September 10, 1977, when Hamida Djandoubi, a Tunisian migrant worker, was executed in Marseille for the torture and murder of his girlfriend, Elisabeth Bousquet. The execution was bloody and unpleasant, and came at a time when capital punishment was already being debated in France.

Jetty Newnham, vomitorium existed. But they were not for vomiting. They were hallways that allowed people to leave quickly. Or to 'spew' forth.

I got the vomitorium question wrong. I'm sure it's for existing.

14/15 got the vomitorium question wrong. Hadn’t realised it is a myth, but will check.
