Santa's red suit does not come from a Coca Cola advert. The red robe appeared many years before - it alternated between the green robe of the Green Man, a Celtic forest god who gave presents of nuts and berries to the poor, and St. Nicholas' robe which was originally blue but was turned into red to differentiate Santa from the Green Man. The Coca Cola story is fake. Change the answer on this question

It does refer to our Lord, however, it isn't just a Catholic belief. And yes to get the full meaning you need to look it up on Google or something else
