We also say "had the wrong dog in a fight", "can't shoot straight" , "go to sleep with the chickens" and " don't get yer panties in a wad".

15/15. Stationed in 6 different Southern states during my USAF years so I’ve heard all of these Southern cliches many times. They do a good job of communicating a specific idea with brevity and clarity.
