Very easy -- 8, left brained.

I was seeing 4 3/4s and 4 1/4s. Wouldn't that be 4 whole melons?

There were no watermelons shown

I saw zero watermelons, same as a year ago.

Ken Putnam, Yes it does. 4 with a piece cut out, and 4 halves that can be combined into 2 whole melons. I saw nothing that would indicate that the halves were quartered. I did see the possibilities of other two combinations but settled on 6 as the correct solution because of the lack of quarters. Interesting how different people see things, isn't it?
