Nailed it, but Catcher in the Rye, though a good book, is not my favorite. That honor goes to A Child Counts the Stars, by most likely the greatest writer of all time: Menelaos Loudemis, a Greek writer exiled from his homeland for his political views. If you can obtain it, it will be a life-changing experience for you after reading it.
