One more time I wonder about the quiz results. I got 9 out of 10 correct for score of 80%. Must be 'newer math'. When I studied 'old math' and 'new math' they both worked out to 90%.

paul mabee, I agree buoyance is the result of displacement and density so I would have thought that one could answer any one of the three and be correct.

paul mabee, wrong. When a body floats in water, the weiight of the body is equal to the weight of the water displaced. Hence, the weight of the body is calculated by determining the underwater volume of the body and multiplying it by the density of the water. Hence displacement is a term for the weight of a ship.
