IAMTOPWRENCH1, Depends whether one is talking about US gallons or Imperial gallons. Crazy system of measurements in the world one has Imperial units and US units with the same name and when converting to metric units one gets different answers depending on the country of origin of the unit.

IAMTOPWRENCH1, you are giving US gallons. 4.5 is correct for imperial gallons!

I’m not trying to be disrespectful, but I don’t do the quizzes other than the American ones. Thanks for the quizzes though!!

8/9 Seems like I was allowed to take the excess over the 42 students without knowing it.

# 6 is wrong - there are 3.785 liters to a gallon, not 4 1/2.

Louise Orrock, To add any more students than 42 you have to add another adult.

lxixwithu, Do Americans not understand math that deals with decimals and percentages? How odd. I was fairly sure those things were taught everywhere.

gloeffelholz, You didn't need to convert anything. The currency symbol in these questions was irrelevant. It was a quiz on decimals and percentages. Just pretend it's not currency, and look at the numbers.

LeeAnne Worre Risk, The currency symbol is irrelevant in these questions. It's just math using decimals.

tammy vona, The math is the same regardless of the currency symbol it has. It's just decimals.
