You hopefully know the earth revolves around it, and you probably know that during a solar eclipse, it gets blocked by the moon, but if you really want to test your sun knowledge, this is the place to do it!

Question 9: If the Sun were 9,200,000 miles from the Earth, the light from the Sun would not take 8 minutes and 20 seconds to reach the Earth.

Since earths orbit is elliptical the tie for light to travel and the distance varies

So by that calculation, [the Sun takes 225/250 million years to orbit our galaxy], the Sun has orbited the Milky Way approx. 18 times since it's formation.
