...could've sworn that the last answer to question 3 was the correct option...wasn't that the formula that the Scarecrow spouted in "The Wizard of Oz," once he received his brain...?

Absolute garbage - the answer to question 2 is wrong. Question 3 does not define what a,b and c are - if they are angles, the answer is correct but not Pythagorean, if they are lengths, then the answer is wrong. I didn't bother with the ret of the rubbish

Filled with obvious incorrect answers!

i stopped at Q2, since it says a totally wrong answer when they took away the squares

Richard D. Boyle, Absolutely! If you chose A2 + B2 = C2, which is actually the correct answer, you were marked wrong! The order of operations question unwittingly had 2 correct answers, but if you chose the last option, you were marked wrong again. Multiplication and division carry the same weight and are done in the order they appear in the equation from left to right. Division may precede multiplication. The same applies to addition and subtraction. I believe the author of these questions is NOT a true mathematician.

I am so glad I looked at others comments here before I quit this quiz. As an elementary teacher of more than 40 years I thought I’d gone crazy when I saw the answer given for Q3.

PARENTHESES, EXPONENTS, MULTIPLICATION, DIVISION, ADDITION, SUBTRACTION. (P.E.M.D.A.S) This is probably what the author was referring to. Though depending on how an equation is written you can start with division instead of multiplication as long as you work it from Left to Right. So both the third and fourth answers from Q#1 is correct. Just the author's thinking was Elementary. That goes to say all the other answers most likely were based off what they were taught in grade school...as for Q#3 I can't defend that thinking. So "AUTHOR" you're on your own with that.

Andy Andrews, These junk quizzes are simply purchased in bulk from a third party supplier and printed without review. The only questions reviewed are on the Daily, the Bonus and the Extra.

8/9. On #3, A, B and C all need to be squared for the correct answer. Pretty basic mistake in the quiz.

Deepak Roy, multiplication and division IN ORDER from left to right. Parentheses and exponents come first.

Andy Andrews, correct, but the sides must be identifiable.

Claranell Zimmerman, the middle number when list in order.

IN question 9), quadratic formula and quadratic equation mean the same thing. Nitpicking on the writers part...
