Not a quiz but an advert. Where I live it is hot and sunny but solar panels are very expensive and we are not allowed to put spare capacity back into the grid, so you have to buy batteries to store it as well as the panels. I am looking to buy a new vehicle and would love to buy electric and charge from my own solar panels but the cost way too much and just a dream. Probably buy a cheaper hybrid car in the end.

6/6. Nailed it! I question about saving money from day 1. It has to be tied into the local power grid and, according to neighbors to have it, it take time to see savings.

David Smith, I agree it is too expensive. It takes too many years after installation to break even so most senior citizens have no need to do this at all. Plus if you put them on your roof and you have to have your house shingled you have to pay someone to take them down and put them back up and that is expensive too. Batteries are too expensive too. It is a shame they have made this green energy so expensive.

I missed the one about adding value to your house, I think that depends on where you live.

The trouble with solar panels is they are not yet good enough or cheap enough and there is storage difficulties too. Hot and sunny where I live but solar is so expensive here to set up and you are not allowed to put it into the local grid. It's like space travel when do we travel to the stars. Whenever we leave the distance is so vast. If we wait technology will improve and we would overtake ourselves on the way. Electric cars. Still awaiting the game changer of quick charge, long lasting, cheap and light batteries making the cars cheap for the masses.

I know we need quizzes that aren't from Lilly, Brian and the others in that crew, but really? must we be subjected to paid advertisements now? Many of us block ads on our phones and computers. Yet here is one sneaking in as a trivia quiz. Unfair and underhanded.
