TSH, I agree but the 'grammar' is the difference between divide BY half (x/.5) and divide IN half (x/2).

I don’t understand the divide by half and add ones. With 100 divided half =50 add 55=105. What am I missing?

Marienne Litolff, to divide a number by half is the same as multiplying by 2
