Hacksteak Hamburger Art is German, and refers to the meat, usually served without a bun. "Burger" refers to what is in the photo - a sandwich with a bun and, often added items like tomato, cheese, lettuce, pickle, etc. That was invented in the US. Also, the Dutch think they invented pannenkoeken = pancakes. Similarly, the Argentinians claim Empanadas.

about the pancake: this we got from the Netherlands - pannekoeken. They are even served with syrup. I've had them in Amsterdam.
