Not sure about 'only 90s kids', should really be 'only American 90s kids'. Obviously, most of these programmes aren't good enough to be shown in the UK

There is a difference between a "minor" character and a "supporting" character. A minor character pops up every now and then in a show, or has a brief stint, like Paul on Friends (among others.) A supporting character is not one of the main characters, but appears in most episodes, like Al on Home Improvement and Eddie on Frasier (among others.)
