I love to read. UI would rather read than watch tv. I usually read 3 or 4 books a week. Since I'm in a nursing home I don't have much else to do.

Wish I could go back to the days when I really READ books.....sure, computers & phones have made things faster but I do feel that we (and I) are missing a lot of things as we have reduced (or almost completely cut off) reading books from our lives. Maybe my thoughts & I are old-fashioned.

I HAVE to read every day....newspapers, magazines, books. Love historical mysteries, humorous books, murder mysteries, whatever. Without the library available right now, I am going a little crazy. Don't have a TV and don't miss one.....books are the way to go,.

I average around 10 books a month. I've tried an ebook but didn't like it. I prefer turning paper pages.

Almost always read myself to sleep at night so the relaxation effect does work. Intrigued by the E-reader versus paper, I use an E-reader at night because I don't lose my page when I drop off and drop the book/reader.

I'm retired, so I spend a LOT of time reading--four or five books a week is standard. I do some light mysteries for a break between heavy stuff. I'm currently on Darwin's Origin of Species. Next is Des Carte and then a re-read of Heinlein's Stranger In A Strange Land. Interesting that the Church of All World's was founded on Heinlein's book and it freaked him out so bad that he withdrew it from print for about 20 years, I'm told! READ ON!

I love to read, been doing it since age 6, am 77 now and still reading several books at the same time. There is nothing as soothing as a good book. Nothing as pleasurable as a funny novel. Nothing as wonderful as a history book or a good mystery....books are a way of sharing inner thoughts put to paper and charging another brain to respond.
