In 2019 the most famous TV-show "Game of Thrones" is going to come to an end. The 8th season is the last one. #1 Unaired Pilot
The first unaired pilot was so terrible that it had to be shelved and reshot. The co-creator David Benioff told that they had got everything wrong on a very basic level with the writing of it.
#2 Peter Dinklage’s Hesitation
Peter Dinklage, who has one of the main roles — Tyrion Lannister, wasn't immediately sold on “Game of Thrones” because he didn't want a long beard and pointy shoes.
#3 Kit Harington’s Audition
Kit Harington had a black eye when he showed up to his audition.
#4 Animal Lover
Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, adopted Sansa Stark’s direwolf, Zunni, the Northern Inuit dog.
#5 Short Reign
Richard Madden — the actor who played Robb Stark — didn’t know that Robb Stark's days were probably numbered on “Game of Thrones”.

Dothraki is a real language, created by David J. Peterson, who worked with HBO. There are even special courses to learn it.

The original Daenerys Targaryen had violet eyes. During shooting, Daenerys wore violet contact lenses, but Benioff and Weiss decided they negatively impacted the actors’ ability to portray emotion.

The horse heart Daenerys had to eat in season one was essentially a giant gummy candy.
#9 Mom’s Expectations
Peter Dinklage won the Golden Globe for “Game of Thrones” in 2012, but his Mom was betting on Guy Pearce.

Although Sean Bean knew from the beginning that his character, Ned Stark, would die early on, he didn’t know that Jon Snow wasn’t actually Ned’s bastard.

Welsh actor and stunt performer, Ian Whyte, has played a grand total of four roles on Game of Thrones. In seasons one and two he was a White Walker; also in season two, he played Gregor Clegane (one of three actors to play the role); season three saw him as an unnamed giant; in season five he played the Wildling giant Wun Wun.
#14 Another Jon Snow
Iwan Rheon was the runner-up to play Jon Snow. The role went to Kit Harington, and Rheon went on to play Roose Bolton’s sadistic bastard son, Ramsay, instead.
#15 Yo Ho and Game of Thrones
According to TorrentFreak, “Game of Thrones” was the most pirated show for six consecutive years—from 2012 to 2017.

The production values of the show made it a stand-alone. The settings go from the icy waste north of the all, to the balmy southern capital city of Kings Landing. As the characters move from one place to another, their clothing changes. Even the horse breeds used change with the heavier breeds used int he north to Arabian-types in the south.

Have watched every episode of every series until Dish Network decided that they couldn't come to an agreement with the owners of HBO so we are now screwed for the last series. Have to wait now to buy the entire program on DVD
