Born in Paris, Thierry Duval traveled a lot. This is where series of "geographically distinguished" pictures come from. Nevertheless, the author's favourite place has always been Paris. Vast majority of his works is devoted to the city of love. Duval paints in watercolor only. With this, he has his own special technique of multilayer paint drawing. That allows him to create pictures with almost hyperreal detailed elaboration.

Evening quietness of Joseph Zbukvic

Today Joseph Zbukvic, an australian born in Croatia, is regarded as one of the icons of watercolor painting in the world. The painter fell in love with watercolor literally from the first stroke. He was amazed by the tameless and uniqie nature of this technique. He believes it lives its own life. There is no way to study it, there is no way to control watercolor's behaviour. You can only break it in as a wild horse. And do it every day.

all of them are magnificent. if you hadn't said the chap who did the Parisian scenes had actually painted them I would have said they were photos.

All of the works pictured show incredible talent but my favorite was the french painter The one with the spring colors and I love that you can tell it's a water color painting. I also liked the water colors of the Japanese painter. The other artists were superb but I just don't likke the genre.
