The most surprising fact is that three dictators ( all warmongers and killers) were even considered for the Nobel Peace prize. To err is very human.

Regarding our Constitution, I believe "correct" spelling did not come into vogue until the 1830s or so. It followed the publication of a Dictionary of the English Language (1755) in England by Samuel Johnson and An American Dictionary of the English Language by Noah Webster in the United States in 1828. Some of words were spelled differently in the two dictionaries. That quirk continues to this day.
