In modern life, it is hard to imagine a person who has never used any kind of public transportation. However, the technologies of the world has gone far enough to create a variety of transport few of us have our chance to use.
#1 Canada
This bus starts its way on the surface and then easily goes on the water of Lake Ontario. It accommodates about 40 persons at once and is used for Toronto sightseeing tours.
#2 London
This transport looks like it came from future. It goes without driver and reminds of a horizontal elevator. You can find it in London Heathrow Airport.
#3 United Arab Emirates
Luxury Arab life is legendary. Even a bus looks like a very expensive car. 23 persons can go by this bus from Dubai to Abu Dhabi at the speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The bus was designed in the Netherlands by a man who was in the space. Probably, this is why the bus looks like a spaceship.
#4 Spain
This unusual kind of transport is also called "singing taxi". Its main function is to show sights of Barcelona to tourists. There is no driver: the taxi uses GPS to inform the passengers about sights that are near. If you get bored, the taxi will sing you a song or tell you a joke.
#5 Hong Kong
We got used to seeing escalators in the subway or big shopping centers. The government of Hong Kong decided to use this mode of transportation to avoid traffic jams.
#6 Portugal
This unusual construction was built 100 years ago by Gustave Eiffel's students. Originally it worked on steam but then it was replaced by an electric motor. A sightseeing platform is on the top of the elevator. Here is a stairway for those who has claustrophobia. The elevator connects two districts of Lisbon: The Pombaline Lower Town and Bairro Alto.
#7 China
The name "Maglev" is derived from two words "magnetic levitation". This train goes from the centre of Shanghai to the airport at the speed of 431 kilometer per hour. It seems like today's people can't be impressed by super fast trains but this one is unique. It literally levitates above the rails. No magic, just physics!
#8 Russia
This trolley goes both underground and on the surface at the speed of 65 kilometers per hour. You can find this type of transport in Volgograd.

I have used #5 escalators in HK quite often and rode #6 Santa Justa a couple of times. It's rather like the Elevador Lacerda in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, where I lived for a few years

They have that truck / boat mode of transport in Ottawa,Ontario [ capital of the country ..Canada ] It is a spring to fall type thing, tourist attraction.i have seen it it enter and leave the Ottawa River and motor away,both in the river and down the street. The train in china going 320+ mph is the most interesting / desirable mode of transport by far! :)
