I love these stories but I wish they would tell us more about the "Whys". Why was the letter Z dropped? Why did Michelangelo hate the Sistine Chapel? I would hate it too if I had hung upside down all those years painting it. Hahaha

kbow, I am well aware of that, however as you know in the case of both of those words the X is pronounced as Z. Which is an example of what my colleague who was learning English found confusing.

👍🏼#4 and #7 Maybe Michelangelo while he was painting the Sistine Chapel, he predicted already that Fredric Baur will make a history more than his paintings by putting his ashes in pringles can and anyone who’s a Pringles eater can remember the finer salt sprinkled in it.🏺🧂

No.8 - Now we know why there are so few Zeds in English spelling and s many Zees in American. No.4 - Good to know that Baur was buried in a Pringles can AFTER he passed away.

Not many English words use the letter Z however we do use it to produce the particular sound. What a work colleague who was trying to improve his English (not his home language) found confusing were the different sounds produced by the same letters. Xenon and xenophobia come to mind
